What is it about a wedding that brings a smile to your face as you remember that special day?

In the 2010 Cavalcade parade we will look at all aspects of wedding fashions, from engagement dresses, the bridal gown, the bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, going away ensembles and even the guests. We will journey through 60 years of wedding fashions and the stories that made them memorable. So much more than just a fashion parade, a Cavalcade parade is a fascinating, entertaining and memorable glimpse in to our wonderful past. This is a unique opportunity to see historical gowns as they were worn, along with snippets from the life of the original wearer. Each era will be introduced by our compere who will also tell us of the conventions, etiquette and social history surrounding events of these eras.
